2020 Burns Lake and Lakes District Tourism Plan
DO YOU WANT TO CONTRIBUTE T0 OUR ECONOMIC DIRECTION AND GUIDE THE FUTURE OF BURNS LAKE AND AREA?
Tourism is an important economic driver for the area, with Northern BC receiving approximately 1 million overnight visitors annually, generating approximately $0.5 billion in spend. With visitors staying between 4 and 5 nights in the region, spending on average $100 per night.
The Village of Burns Lake (VBL) has recognized the importance of tourism not only as a current economic driver, but also as a sustainable mechanism for future growth and diversification, as well as a potential tool in recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. As part of the Tourism Plan development process, and on behalf of VBL, our consultants, C4 Strategies will be conducting a comprehensive survey of all tourism stakeholders in Burns Lake and Bulkley-Nechako Areas B & E. This survey is intended to understand the perspective of all stakeholders (residents, businesses, and partner organizations) about tourism and the visitor economy. Both as it impacts you personally and in the context of economic development for your local and regional economy.
As part of the Tourism Plan development process, we are asking you to participate in a four-part survey that should take 10-15 minutes to complete. Please be assured that all responses will be kept anonymous, as we look forward to your honest and unfiltered perspective. The information gathered will be used towards development of a new 3-year Tourism Plan.
